Hands clasped against her mouth, as if holding back a howl she knows is useless, she stands hunched, almost folded in two. Her clawed paws carry her far from the ground she once knew, and her tail curls in on itself, searching for a warmth it no longer finds.

Specimen of the Écholane species: wolves who howl for a pack that no longer answers, and hear only their own echo return.
