Collapsed in on herself, on her knees, her head bowed so low her hair sweeps the ground in long white trails, she now carries nothing but the weight of her own fall. A drop of ink lands on her skull, another rolls down her cheek like a silent tear, while her tail stretches out behind her like a wake she'll never retrace.

Specimen of the Ternelle species: lionesses with a faded mane, who still carry themselves like queens, but rule over nothing anymore.
