Suspended by several threads of ink she grips with both hands above her, she lets her feet cross and fade into one last black trail. Her wide-open eyes each let a tear run down her face, while her long white hair falls straight down behind her to the ground.

Specimen of the Abyssia species: octopuses who reach their arms toward a light that no longer reaches down to them, suspended between two waters, never rising back up.
