Standing still, she seems to double herself, two profiles overlapping into a single blurred face, each letting a tear slide beneath the eye. Her folded wings fall over her shoulders like a cloak of dark feathers down to her hips, while ink falls in wide drops behind her and runs off her fingertips. Her white hair stretches straight down to the ground, where it mingles with the feathers in the same silence.

Specimen of the Attendrie species: cranes who watch a sky that no longer brings anyone back, standing on one leg out of habit, so as not to forget how to wait.
