Sitting, knees drawn tightly to her chest, arms crossed over them, she turns her head in profile as if to stop seeing what falls behind her. A tear still slides down her muzzle, while her long white hair covers her legs like one last protection.

Specimen of the Limène species: jackals who guard thresholds, keeping watch over a door no one comes through anymore, mourning those they can no longer accompany.
