In profile, she wears a fan of feathers on her head, one marked with a peacock eye, while a second eye seems to float right beside her, detached, shedding its own tears. One arm hangs at her side, ink dripping in a long thread to the ground, while her black train stretches far behind her in wide feathers.

Specimen of the Pâlore species: peacocks with dimmed feathers, who still display themselves out of habit, before an audience that will never come again.
