Attendrie · Suspended Flight
Standing with arms slightly apart, she spreads her wings asymmetrically, one reaching toward the sky, the other open wide, as if frozen mid-motion in a flight she'll never complete. A drop of ink hangs from the tip of her half-open beak, another escapes her fingers, while her endless legs disappear beneath her long white hair spreading across the ground in swirls.
Specimen of the Attendrie species: cranes who watch a sky that no longer brings anyone back, standing on one leg out of habit, so as not to forget how to wait.
